BETLA  National Park (Earlier known as PALAMU Sanctuary) is located in the western part of the CHOTONAGPUR Plateau and is one of the most widely known national parks in the northeastern part of India. This is one of India’s earliest tiger reserves and home to deer, bison, wild elephants, monkeys, peacock and the tiger. The national park sprawls over an area of around 979 sq km, out of which 232 sq km forms the core area. The sanctuary acquired the status of a national park in the year 1989.
This place has a variety of diverse ecosystems and a vast range of vegetation consisting of tropical wet evergreen forests which houses a plenty of wild animals. The rich evergreen SAL and TEAK forest has numerous tree houses, where sitting idle at the balcony watching the deer’s play around is a pleasure that matches exactly what you  have dream about a forest.

CONCLUSION :

Jeep Safari at  BETLA is good, inhabitants  used to be seen well mostly. DEER ,  BYSON , ELEPHANT  is  moreover common but TIGER is very  very  rare.  Best to say depends on luck and you know  it better than me.

Variety of  Deer will pull you to stay back at BETLA best to watch them from the NEW TREE HOUSE  DOUBLE BED ROOM  to the JUNGLE SIDE ONES  and it’s awesome , can say it may comes out as the best part of  your BETLA visit  , good rare birds  used to be seen very often , PEACOCK  is very common to the deep inside.

Ruins  of Fort at First morning on rising  sun &  Kechki Sangam  on  twilight  falls under must seen part.

New Tree House are the best accommodation at BETLA  both as room  and location wise  but the foods are average . JTDC rooms are good also. On my last visit at 2019 have seen a few hotels has sprouted up with  good room with in that i loved the Hotel located just opposite the Main Park Entrance just the left of the DHABA .

Above all I loved to stand on the bridge on river KOEL the way to MAROMAR  and would love to quote ……

” ..many miles to go before I sleep  ….”  by ROBERT FROST   … my short movie clippings  attached to the MAROMAR  Video Gallery on the River Koel can assure you better.

Reviews About : BETLA( Jharkhand )

Jungle Safari

Jungle Safari

Betla was an experience for us. This was possible only when Irshad, our driver suggested if we plan to visit Betla from McCluskeyganj. He was sharing different stories with Rajesh and their visit to nearby places. How they explore new places. Betla visit was unpalnned and it is a pleasure for us to have Rajesh as our tour planner. Palamou fort remains and Betla both were surprising for us. We never thought to find history in this remote part. Thanks Rajesh, thanks Irshad. Jharna Panda
